The Fairfax Foundation’s purpose is to advance the health, education and welfare of  people who work in, or have previously worked in, the media industry in Australia and their families. Financial support is provided to eligible applicants, including former employees and their families, who are in need and to assist with specific costs.

Wellbeing Grants

The Wellbeing Grants Program supports eligible applicants by providing funding for activities or services that contribute to improved wellbeing, capability and build resilience.

Disaster Assistance Grant

Eligible applicants affected by a natural disaster can contact the Fairfax Foundation for immediate financial assistance. Disaster Assistance Grants of $1,000 are available for applicants who live in affected areas and have been forced to evacuate their homes.

Education Grants

The Foundation recognises the start of the school year can be challenging for some families with costs for education expenses and additional needs increasing. Eligible applicants can apply for financial assistance in the form of Education Grants for their dependants.
